Description of the model

A bee is a yellow and black flying insect that lives in hives and produces honey. They are famous for their role in pollination.

The most relevant features of bees are:

  • A pair of compound eyes that cover most of the surface of the head.
  • The antennae which are sense organs capable of touching, smelling and detecting air movement.
  • A thorax with 3 segments each of which has 2 legs
  • The abdomen ending in a sting.

This model was designed and tested as part of the 3D4VIP project.

Printing instructions and tips

For FDM printers we use a default nozzle size of 0.4 mm.

It’s been tested with a layer height of 0.18 mm and a first layer height of 0.27 mm.

No support is required.
