This Privacy Policy applies to the website https://tactiles.eu (the “Website”). The Website was produced by the 3D4VIP project, co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union.

The controller decides on the purposes and means of processing personal data. This policy is based on the EU GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and the applicable national implementations of the ePrivacy Directive (in the Netherlands: UAvvF; in Germany: TDDDG).

4. Hosting and server log files
When the Website is accessed, the hosting provider automatically processes technical information transmitted by your browser: IP address, date and time of the request, requested page, amount of data transferred, browser and operating system (user agent), referrer URL.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR – legitimate interest in secure and stable operation. Log files are used exclusively for troubleshooting and attack prevention; no profiling takes place. Log files are deleted after [X days – adjust to hoster]. No third parties receive the data.
5. Account (registration and login)
You can register for an account and log in on the Website. Registration is available to persons aged 18 or older.
Data processed: username, e-mail address, password (stored as a one-way hash), [optional profile fields – adjust].
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (operation of the account) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (secure operation).
Storage and deletion: Account data is stored until the account is deleted. Deletion can be requested at any time via the account menu or by e-mail to EU_admin@visio.org and will be carried out without delay unless statutory retention obligations apply.
Security: Passwords are stored only as a hash and used exclusively for authentication.
6. Contact
When you contact us by e-mail (Contact Us page, EU_admin@visio.org or contact@tactiles.eu), we process the details transmitted with your message (name, e-mail address, content of the message) on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The details are kept until your enquiry is finally dealt with, for a maximum of 6 months after our last reply, and are then deleted.
7. Videos (PeerTube embedding)
Some content contains videos embedded from the project’s PeerTube instance (peertube.visio-euprojects.nl). When a page with an embedded video is loaded, the technical connection data (including your IP address) is transmitted to the server of that instance, on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
8. Comments
Comments are not enabled on the Website; no user-generated comment data is processed.
9. Statistics (WP Statistics, opt-in)
We use WP Statistics for visitor statistics. This category is active only after you give consent in the cookie banner. WP Statistics processes the data locally on our server (IP address and user agent), does not set tracking cookies and does not share data with third parties. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent). 10. Cookies and your consent
The Website uses a cookie banner. Necessary cookies are always active; statistics and marketing cookies are used only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with the national implementation of the ePrivacy Directive – in the Netherlands: UAvvF, in Germany: TDDDG § 25). Consent is not a precondition for using the Website and can be withdrawn at any time via the “Cookie settings” button. Details: Cookie Policy (EU).
No marketing cookies are currently in use. No cross-site tracking takes place, and no personal data is transferred to third countries (outside the EU/EEA).
11. Data security
Transmission on the Website is encrypted via TLS (SSL). We take technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, destruction and unauthorised access. No absolute protection against the risks of data transmission on the internet is technically possible.
12. Your rights as a data subject (GDPR)
You have the following rights in relation to the controller: Access (Art. 15), Rectification (Art. 16), Erasure (Art. 17), Restriction of processing (Art. 18), Data portability (Art. 20), Objection (Art. 21), Withdrawal of consent – at any time, with effect for the future. Please exercise your rights by e-mail to EU_admin@visio.org.
13. Supervisory authority (complaint)
As the controller is established in the Netherlands, the competent supervisory authority is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (AP), Herengracht 445, 1017 CL Amsterdam, The Netherlands. If you reside in another EU/EEA country, you may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (e.g. in Germany: Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg, Lindwurzer Straße 2, 75115 Karlsruhe).

15. Young persons (under 18)

This policy applies only to our online activities and to the Website. It will be adapted as required (e.g. when services change).
